if you play 3d platformers to have fun moving around and to explore and to enjoy mechanical complexity and freedom of expression, it was a pretty bad game. games from that year like yellow taxi vroom, penny breakaway, and big catch tacklebox all had real movement mechanics to offer the player, and were all pretty neat.
