>>714506689Like many of Inoue's characters, Takumi is a subversion of past Kamen Riders. Generally, most Riders tend to be fairly stoic individuals who let their actions do the talking. In fact, the very first Rider, Hongo, also refused to elaborate on anything, so there was a period of time when one of the characters believed that he killed her father. There's a Japanese ideal of stoicism where you should bear your burdens stoically, and this premise is prevalent among Showa era heroes. In fact, it used to be pretty rare for main Riders to ever verbally defend themselves, as doing so is sort of seen as a sign of weakness in Asian culture.
Takumi is meant to take this principle to its logical conclusion; if you refuse to elaborate yourself, then no one can ever truly understand you.
