>oled deck is more powerful than switch 2 if it's running at 15W
But /v/ told me the switch 2 ran games better?

you're crying about the battery life on the switch 2 and you are willing to use the goydeck for 30 minutes before you need to plug into the wall?

Oled deck gives you over 2 hours when running at max tdp which is more than the switch 2 for demanding games.

Eh, the power is irrelevant. Steam Deck has 100x more games in total and won't permanently brick itself if you try playing non-Steam games.

That‘s a given but tendies tried to run the narrative that the switch 2 runs games better than the deck when cyberpunk got revealed

Wait, were people actually comparing the SD to the Switch 2 docked?
Are they retarded?

Cyberpunk wasn't even that impressive. It ran at 40 FPS most of the time, but the number of weird stutters and hiccups was way higher than it should have been. I'd rather have lower framerate and more consistent performance than that. In any case, it was apparent that the performance was going to be worse than Z1 Extreme ROG Ally (which is still cheaper than Switch 2 btw) from the moment when the SoC got revealed. Some nintóddlers swallowed up Nvidia's propaganda about the T239, but I know a thing or two about PC specs. It was clear that this wasn't going to be the most powerful handheld on the market before it even got released.

I mean, Switch 2 runs it better on 3-9W as proven by the video in OP. But, that video shows that the Switch version has less details in textures and models. Apparently a shorter render distance too? In a way it's not even comparing the same game. And even then, the Switch 2 would likely be more power efficient at that TDP.
Still, under maximum TDP Steam Deck does have it beat from what I can see. And the battery life at max TDP for both consoles is close enough apparently. Although the Steam Deck wouldn't need to even run max TDP to beat it since (according to old benchmarks) the SD doesn't gain almost any FPS when going from 11/12 to 15 W. So, to "match" performance you'd likely be able to use Steam Deck capped at 11W to gain more battery life.
