Probably the worst, or perhaps that's DS3.

We are a Tarnished/ Ashen One exploring a dying world where the entire history happened in the past. There isn't really a lot of direct storytelling in the game. The lore is cryptic. The quests are cryptic.
You explore dungeons, get from checkpoint to checkpoint, and fight a boss at the end of a level. We want to find the Shardbearers/ Lords of Cinder to eventually become the Elden Lord/ Lord of Cinder.
You can describe both games at the same time because they are so similiar. How exactly is the storytelling of Elden Ring any different?

Why do we hunt shard bearers? Because they are elden lord materials and we need to take their runes to prove our claim.
Why do we hunt Lords of cider? Because flame resurrected them but we need to kill them for magical teleport to work, shit literally doesn't make any sense. Also you need to kill prince who's just chilling in the castle because he refused to link fire
