I'll be frank guys, I'm finished NG and didn't like it very much. It's really way too easy and basic as game.
Zooming and occasionally boosting to dodge attacks is not fun in a game with such simplistic and streamlined handling of movement and the scenarios hardly put you any pressure as the game seems too focused on boss fights.
Nothing wrong with the boss fights but again even there the depth is just managing the stagger meter and arsenal cooldown while dodging attacks far more than actually fighting the enemy.
I think movement having no inertia and the mechs feeling like toys with superspeed kills the enjoyment of mastering a movement system.
Never played other Armored Core games, but Gun Metal and Battle Engine Aquila are perfect examples because you could master movement and inertia and extend air time or conveniently engage more enemies. Even the big depth of Souls movement like keeping a run "alive", using block to have sharper turns, not using lock on, sloped terrain, positioning, etc... Just isn't there.
I love the setting, the art, the story,... but not the actual game. It was dull, like it was built to wow people over the feedback to players more than the implementations of design and mechanics.
