I bought some really good new games but I just keep playing Dota. The matchmaking has been awful too.

Should I do it?
>>714508042>a $1 in differenceI'm not that worried.
>>714506881FF1 on GBA emulator is really solid, even if it's simple and somewhat dated. Being able to fastforward through the mook fights helps the pacing a ton, but the game's structure is timeless. The postgame dungeons the GBA added are also great, and sadly not on the steam release to my understanding.
7 is a classic but overly lauded, 8 is a classic if you played it when you're 12, 10 is doing shit, 13 is better than people say but not good (though allegedly the sequels are solid), and some freaks go to bat for 16 but they aren't real
>>714506440I liked the first one but third one is pretty different from what I heard, I do remember people saying that the troll campaign is good
Jagged Alliance 3, Expeditions Rome, or Wartale?
>>714506881only the tactics games really. FFXII is okay too, in its own way
if you like linear sequences of cutscenes, like an on rails experience, then ffiv or ffxiii could give you that as well. Although you'll probably get more out of a movie

Single-player Amogus premise is fun, but the amount of story content is way too light in comparison to the repetitive grind of the actual stat-based gameplay, with the main story meta-progression being gated behind short but mandatory RNG events with hidden requirements and no in-game clues. The appeal of the main gameplay loop wears off long before you get anywhere near the end.

>>714519045Yes. It is a good game with an interesting setting and pretty visuals, however it should be noted that it is fairly short with almost no replayability (unless you're autistic) and while the combat is well designed it doesn't have too much mechanical depth. Also it is extremely easy.

>>714529290i don't think you understood the meaning of a single word you typed
>>714523009I don't mind losing in the game part, especially since the game part is largely meaningless in the grand scheme of things and I'm pretty sure you also have to lose under certain specific conditions in order to unlock scene.s Sometimes you do get more clear direct objectives like "ally with X person and protect them until the end" but often times you're just shooting in the dark hoping that the game gives you a new event. And even if you do know what to do in those cases, sometimes the RNG just decides to fuck you over by either deleting you or the person you're supposed to be protecting, or you rolled with starting reputation that doesn't let you ally with the person you're supposed to be protecting, forcing another restart.
I think a way of fixing the dull repetition would've been for the devs to add a more direct way for player to force event starting conditions, or just making the hint system explicit so you know the exact conditions the game wants you to fulfill.
>>714529063If youโre not sold on Khazan then get neither because Wukong is pretty bad and the performance is even worse, still.

>>714530545I enjoyed Tiny Metal Full Metal Rumble, but I haven't played the first one. Just be aware that it has no map editor/mission maker mode if that's what you want.
>>714530047Yeah the performance is still atrocious. Worst thing is it doesnโt even look that good. The only person I would recommend buying it is a pre-existing fan of journey to the west, because (so Iโve been told) the game is sort of a sequel and fully expects you to know the story and the characters. I have the most general knowledge of the story and Iโve heard of a few of the characters and I was completely lost the entire time. It is very much a Chinese game made for Chinese by Chinese, and since journey to the west is the only interesting piece of literature the country has ever produced everyone in the country has read it. It doesnโt make it unplayable because itโs not like other souls games havenโt made a story difficult to understand or even see, but there are a LOT of cutscenes where nothing is explained because youโre supposed to know it.
I mean I think after the DLC Lies of P is the best souls game anyone has made including From, but if you didnโt like the demo then you shouldnโt get it.
Yeah for $20 I think itโs worth trying LotF. Itโs not the best game and itโs still got plenty of eurojank but itโs fun and the umbral mechanic is at least executed competently. I played it at launch and enjoyed it despite the issues until I got to the end and realized that what I thought was the point of no return was not in fact the point of no return and I had silently locked myself out of every other ending hours before simply by entering the โwrongโ area despite not actually having done anything that should lorewise or gameplaywise have locked me out. I was so pissed off I havenโt touched it since.
>>714530176guess i did forget about that one since it was 3 years ago, but i definitely did not buy others like XCOM 2 or Yakuza 0, along with the ton of generic cheap slop in my account like "Psychiatrist Simulator" or "Mountain"

>>714544353Fanatical has often had it cheaper and in several bundles, but your situation sounds.. retarded, so that may not help you.
>>714544436nta but it's cute but very simple. i enjoyed it though, good de-stress game
>>714544553I looked it up on fanatical. Says this product will not activate in my region. I was told that getting a steam key for the normal version will activate it regardless of the region, so I have no idea what kind of shit this fanatical storefront does that it won't.
finished playing the first game I bought this sale (oneshot).
enjoyed it way more than I thought I would, great game with some interesting wall break stuff I've never seen any other game do.
Not really a fan of walking sims but this one was def well made.
I'm driving myself insane whether to buy any of these on my wishlist atm, any recommendations to remove or to add?
> Shadow Generations (looks fun but a tad expensive? is it really worth $30?)
> Expedition 33 (wouldn't be buying this on steam as I've seen better deals elsewhere; is it worth the hype or is it woke dogshit?)
> Lunistice (looks kinda fun but can't shake off the cheap slop look based on what I've seen)
> Titanfall 2 (on the fence about this, I know everyone raves and howlers about this one but again is it worth the hype? $4.5 is pretty good desu)
> Jet Car Stunts (or another dumb fun casual game kinda like this, I've been dying to find something with ramps and slopes similar to beamng but not nearly as resource hog on RAM like beamng)
> BallisticNG (looks just like wipeout which brings back fond memories but is it worth $10?)
> Cyberpunk (don't know, I know it's revered but is it TRULY worth it with the patches? I don't like the direction cd projekt red has gone the past few years tho, the woke mind virus has deeply infected them noticeably)
> Death's Door or Tunic (which one of these is the better game?)
> Dead Space (played it back in the day but don't know if a remake is truly worth it?)
> Sleeping Dogs (looks like kung fu fun but again is it truly fun or does it get stale after a few hours?)
> Hitman World of Assassination (want to give these games a try but again I don't like it when games get stale after an hour or two - is it worth it?)
I need recommendations on what to buy, what to remove or add, etc. Please I need help!!!!

>>714506117 (OP)I picked up these:
>Divinity Original Sin 2>The Grim Dawn DLCs that I've been thinking about grabbing for like 6 years>Persona 5 because I was in a horrible fugue state and it was the only one I'm missing despite not really caring about the Persona series, I will most likely refund it>Total War: Warhammer 1/2I thought about getting 3 but I really don't give a shit nor do I know if I'll like these games, but I was itching for a game like it and supposedly these are the best ones in the Total War series.
>Grand Theft Auto V because I wanted to minge on some RP servers with a friendSo far Divinity and Grim Dawn are the ones I like the most. GTA V is installing, and while I played it on release it was never one of my favorite games. $15 is a fair price to spend on dicking around with a friend though, I guess.
>>714545107>titanfall 2Yes, it's that good. I never played the multiplayer, but the campaign is like ~7 hours long and it's the best FPS campaign I've ever played. Absolutely worth it at that price.
I've only bought Peripeteia so far. I'm having issues finding games that i like or want. I'm very picky.
>>714545107>E33It's a good game. I don't recall anything being woke but also that's a retarded buzzword people who hate video games use. Sometimes it's applicable I guess, but generally people use it to describe things that they hate without understanding why they hate it. It's a nothing word for nothing people. Use the fucking brain you've been given to explain why you don't like something.
>CyberpunkIt's fine, but still immensely underwhelming. There's not much build diversity, I've played it twice, once with a melee build and once with a hacker build and didn't notice anything special about how either played. The base game's story is decent, and Phantom Liberty was fun enough to justify having bought them.
>Sleeping DogsVery underrated game, but if you're not into story-centric action games then it's probably not worth it. There's not much replay value either.
That's about the extent of what I can offer you.
>>714545107>Is it really worth 30$?Never pay more than 20 dollars for a videogame.
>Titanfall 2>requires 3rd party accountLole. Not doing that.
>Cybercuck>Dead Space Demakehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb2Ct3yyB4g
>>714545379Got g string and i liked it. Even if it was a little rough around the edges. I wish there was some obscure games out there.

>>714541349I recommend Cassette Beasts and Monster Sanctuary instead. Between the two, Monster Sanctuary is better but both are good.
And yes Cassette Beasts does have a tranny woke indie vibe to it, but it's stilll fun.
>>714545139if you didn't get the dos 1 and 2 bundle for $1 more you should've
>>714545738I've bought way too many bundles only to realize I didn't care for the gameplay. Maybe someday if I end up itching for more Divinity stuff.

On the topic of creature collectors, this https://store.steampowered.com/app/2936030/Botworld_Odyssey/ isn't the usual turn-based kind, but I liked it quite a bit. I feel like robots make for much better "outlandish creatures" because their designs don't have to be biologically sound. And also the game is fun.

>>714544436It's good enough to be in the same ballpark as Moon. Pepsi to Moon's Coke. That said, the dev is retarded in that for the "true" playthrough to be completed, you finish the game 12 times. Don't bother with it. Once it enough.
Troubleshooter or Jagged Alliance 3 on the deck?
>>714546601>it does have lesboskek, of course it does. look at this shit
>>714508042That's the problem with steam sales. It's always cheaper on fanatical. I got Robocop Rogue City: Alex Murphy edition and Lords of the Fallen Deluxe
>>714535471Steins;Gate can't be understood because they had a different translator do the english translation of each game and the translators didn't reference the lore of previous games so they fucked the lore up with each new entry.

Crash Bandicoot Nsane trilogy for 4 europoors is it worth it? I only played bits of twinsanity and the weird Wii game (the first one). I like Crash aesthetically and find the gameplay videos funny but is the original trilogy worth going through?

Maybe give this a try. Survivalcraft game but feels like actual survival instead of a gear treadmill like most of the genre. Good crafting, although impossible to minmax, only to somewhat optimize.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2399160/Soulash_2/
Open world roguelike. Has a nice crafting system, some economy (rudiemntary), sort of a simulation (also rudimentary), and the fantasy could be interpreted as dark-ish. First game had you play as a pissed off elder god massacring and then eating the entire world.
If you were interested in Terraria (picked almost the worst time to start, the game is on its way down the shitter because of the developer growing more retarded every day), then give Necesse a try https://store.steampowered.com/app/1169040/Necesse/ , it's better in every meaningful way except the amount of content and the visual customization. Then consider Keplerth after that, it's less robust and more pricy than Necesse but still entertaining. https://store.steampowered.com/app/747200/Keplerth/
Not much else that comes to mind off the top of my head.
>>714521389>Steins;Gate is one of if not the best time travel stories ever toldEdge of tomorrow is way better.
>>714548202It is ugly, but what's important is that it's visually coherent. Some games of this kind can't manage to make a non-noisy game for shit, but MD doesn't have that problem, luckily.
You tried Horizon's Gate? Might wanna give it a whirl if you haven't.
>>714548260Even if I added 9 points to your IQ, you'd still be in the single digit area.
>>714548724Keplerth was OK. I don't know how much they improved it after release but it suffered a lot from "here's zone 1, with tier 1 equipment, and tier 1 enemies. now here's zone 2 with tier 2 equipment and tier 2 enemies". It's like a 3 hour game repeated 10 times.
Someone buy my failed indie game.
>>714549175sad to hear but why did it failed?
>>714548896I just wanted to see more of your meltie.
>>714549175post it in one of those steam hidden gems threads bro
>>714548942Aye, that's still the same, to be honest. The most interesting relatively recent improvement is they added passives to every weapon in the game and made it possible to upgrade any weapon to max tier, thus opening up a decent bit of theorycrafting potential, which was always the game's strongest suit thanks to the gene system. My favorite meme build is the one where I made a character that has insane evasion and dies in 2 hits which I remedied by using a shield accessory that has 3 charges and pops regardless of the amount of damage done, serving as solid protection from oneshots when an evade doesn't proc. It tends to recharge before I fail another evade roll. Then I had no space whatsoever for DPS genes so I used a goblin spear that has a chance to deal 30% of a regular enemy's max health or 2% of a boss's max health worth of damage and pumped as much attack speed into the build as I could fit to maximize the number of procs. It was an amusing setup.

>>714549452Maybe try Voidspire Tactics if you don't wanna risk a tenner on Horizon. Voidspire is much much more basic since it's the first game by the dev, but it should give you a loose idea on what the general vibe of his games is like. Don't touch Alvora and Kingsvein unless you become a genuine fan and end up wanting more after Horizon.
>Templar BattleforceLooked it up. Ye, it looks like a mobile game. I'm not sure if I wanna give it a chance because that's the game from the developers who made the autistic space beurocrat simulator Star Traders Frontiers, and I'm not an autist.
