Previously Developed:
>Forza Motorsport (2023)
>Forza Motorsport 7 (2017)
>Forza Motorsport 6 (2015)
>Forza Motorsport 5 (2013)
Currently Developing:
No new games are in development. Currently providing updates to Forza Motorsport 2023. They recently released the long-requested and fan favorite track "Fujimi Kaido" to Motorsport 2023, which hasn't been in a Motorsport game for the last 14 years.

Turn 10 has been hit hard by layoffs earlier this week, and there is speculation that the studio will close, but Turn 10 is critical for the development of the ForzaTech engine, which is being implemented in the Forza Horizon series as well as the upcoming Fable reboot. Turn 10 also provides support for Forza Horizon. So they won't be going away anytime soon.
Very interesting how none of these games look interesting. How do they do it?
Playground Games
Previously Developed:
>Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
>Forza Horizon 4 (2018)
>Forza Horizon 3 (2016)
>Forza Horizon 2 (2014)
Currently Developing:
Fable. A reboot of the Lionhead action-RPGs. This entry has seen numerous delays and Eidos Montreal (Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Thi4f, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy 2021) had to be brought in for assistance. The Fable reboot started development around 2017 but wasn't officially announced until 2020. Raw gameplay of the game still hasn't been shown, despite its lengthy development.

Rare
Previously Developed:
>Everwild (cancelled)
>Sea of Thieves (2018)
>Rare Replay (2015)
>Kinect Sports Rivals (2014)
Currently Developing:
Unknown. Sea of Thieves' live service elements have been keeping Rare afloat for the past 7 years. In 2024, they released Sea of Thieves on PS5 (this port was mainly handled by a developer called Third Kind Games), which sold over 1 million copies and gave Rare a huge boost.
Rare was working on and off on Everwild from 2014, but nobody really knows what sort of game it was going to be. It was rebooted numerous times, and its creative director left the studio while the game was under development. Supposedly Everwild wasn't going to have any form of combat whatsoever.
The developers behind the PS5 vehicular combat exclusive "Destruction AllStars" took over as a support studio for Sea of Thieves starting in 2023 while developers within Rare tried to focus more on Everwild in 2024 and 2025. Now that Everwild has been cancelled, it's likely that Rare will be handling seasonal content updates for Sea of Thieves in the near future.

Previously Developed:
>Halo Infinite (2021)
>Halo 5: Guardians (2015)
>Halo: The Master Chief Collection (2014)
>Halo 4 (2012)
Currently Developing:
They haven't officially announced anything. 343 went under a lot of reconstruction over the last three years. They lost their founder in 2022, suffered from many layoffs, and most of the campaign staff on Halo Infinite was let go around 2023. They have slowly been rehiring new talent, and shifted away from developing on their in-house Slipspace Engine. All we know right now is that their next project will be made with Unreal Engine 5. It's speculated that this next project will be another attempt at rebooting Halo/remaking Halo: Combat Evolved.

Due to the long development time and lack of updates, fans are concerned that State of Decay 3 has been cancelled and Undead Labs will close, despite reassurances from Xbox.

>>714513157>>714512276 (OP)I came up with the theory about a month ago that I honestly think is real. I think theyโre trying to kill the games industry. They make no qualms about it. Itโs why there arenโt any real exclusive exclusives. This era is gonna ride out with live service and slop titles with no meaningful content long enough for the next generation or two of gamers to be here and theyโll be perfect consumers about that point because they wonโt have even known what was lost

I have no clue. Does anyone on /v/ actually play any of these games?
That's all I've got. There are other studios like Beenox and High Moon, but they are just Call of Duty support teams now. It's not like they're going to crank out a new Transformers or Spider-man like back in the day.
>>714513189They actually did show like less than a minute worth of clips of pre-alpha gameplay like 4 months ago when they announced that it got pushed to 2026. It looked about the same as the few snippets of what looked like gameplay between the last two major trailers for the game. The game is more likely suffering from the challenge of having a developer who produced primarily racing games tasked with making presumably an open world action RPG (meaning very little design experience from the Horizon series can be carried over.)
