Alright, /v/, Microsoft and, in turn, Xbox is in dire straits and they need YOUR HELP!

What can Xbox do to turn things around? Let’s not get off track, let’s be realistic, and act QUICK because Xbox may not have long!

go back in time before they systematically killed off all their flagship IPs and stop them from doing that I guess

I said realistic, anon. But you mention IP’s, is there no chance that Xbox could release a NEW Halo that captures the world like the original trilogy? Or a brand new IP?

>Halo 3 anniversary with cut content
>Halo x Helldivers collab
>Finish that Mega bloks Halo game
>Tell 343 (not calling them halo studios) to get their shit together and make a small scale spin off to get used to the new engine (also get id to help out)

That’s a lot of Halo, anon. While I think j you’re right, that’s all their eggs in one basket. Especially if they’re gonna chuck it on gamepass anyway.

Out of interest, do any of you anons have a gamepass subscription?

>be realistic
Then, it’s hopeless. The only hope Xbox has is to wait for Sony to fuck up badly. Another situation like the 7th gen era would need to happen again where Xbox truly became a direct competitor to PlayStation because the PS3 was marketed so fucking horribly. I doubt that’s going to happen again but it could do

I know, but the the obvious question right now is "why should i keep my xbox?" and Halo is the only semi-exclusive IP they still have, might as well take advantage of it.
Anonymous No.714519052 [Report]
but it could doe*

Xbox becomes the dark horse of Japanese fan service games. While everyone else is censoring or banning Japanese games, Xbox does the completely unexpected and starts publishing exclusives such as I Want To Marry All My Little Sister 2: Hot Springs Adventure.

Weeeell there's the obvious flop that will be Marathon, not to mention their other GaaS stillborns in the making,, and if the Insomniac leaks are still valid, even their hottest exclusives barely make any money, remember that Sony doesn't have the same power Microsoft does, but then again, if anyone involved was smart, we wouldn't even be discussing this

The next Xbox flagship title will be a new Gal Gun

That will never fucking happen, retard

>>714519031
I mean, yeah, I think microtransaction-less Halo games will work, but it’ll be cannibalistic if that’s all they produce. Could the Ninja Gaiden series be pushed? Gears of War? Take a lead from PlayStation and release the next elder scrolls on Xbox a year before its competitors?

Just joking, retard

I think they'll have to bite the bullet and overhaul gamepass completely, and just put shovelware and indies in there, with the occasional first party title (like what ps+ does), it's clear that this system is losing them a lot of money, but ypu can't get rid of it at this point.

Despite new PS exclusives turning out to be piles of shit, Xbox isn’t exactly making good exclusives either. It also doesn’t help that Xbox increased the price of their consoles

make games that people actually want to play instead trying to make the next Cawl of Canon fodder, smaller budgets, stop hiring activists and overpriced useless people like Jade Raymond

Microsoft just fired 9000 Americans in favor of jeets.

Microsoft can all burn in hell eating cow shit out of the ass of pajeets.

I agree. Perhaps a cheaper service with more indie titles, and the premier AAA games are available for free for, say, a month and are then available at a discounted purchase price?

They should make a new Xbox console that has Halo 7 and TES 6 day one.

Multiple Halo failures and promisses about getting it right this time. Not that it matters since The Message is more important to MS nowadays and the audience isn't even there anymore. Maybe you'll get that modern audience this time.

Not without ripping it from 343 studios and giving it to someone else. 343 studios is a blight, independent of halo, but was allowed to become what they were because a cherished IP was put in their hands.
>Or a brand new IP?
They just fired everyone who could

Helldivers collab would probably be the best hope Halo has to claw back any relevance.
Halo has suffocated ever since it started trying to chase call of duty, helldivers would force Halo back to its roots of, y'know, not being call of duty, and the covenant would genuinely be an amazing helldivers faction, so the update itself would probably be enjoyed.
Bit of a tone clash, Halo would probably have to adopt some of Helldiver's tone for the collab, which would stick to it afterwards, but that's better than what they have going on now.

At first when everyone thought that the game was in some sort of beta, all that goodwill died the moment everyone realized that THAT was the game, didn't it take them like 2 years to add infection?

I don't think they would have to go that far, something as simple as an ODST inspired warbond for Helldivers and Helldivers armor/paintjobs for Infinite would be enough for the redditors to go "Halo is BACK!"

There's pretty much nothing left.
The only way for Microsoft to even buy the time to turn things around, is if TES6 was actually, secretly, and magically ready to release in a few months, and Bethesda had actually, magically learned all the lessons they needed to in order to fix their shit, and makes a game that defines the generation.
Mind, this alone does not SAVE Microsoft, this buys Mincrosoft the time to save itself, by assembling new teams, and pumping out games like a motherfucker. If Microsoft completely restructured how they made games, downscaled to AA tier production for most of their games, and machine gunned good, reasonably priced games in the window that the miraculous birth of the TES6 revolution opened, Microsoft could survive and thrive.
As it stands currently, they're going the way of Sega. They hold a few notable IPs that will continue to chug along with minimal interference, and will occasionally license something out from yesteryear to whatever current darling of the industry comes asking.

This only happened because their in-house engine was hard to work with. This won't be a problem since now they are using Unreal Engine instead
