I miss the Alpha series. Alpha 3 was pure soul.

It's weird how the Alpha series feels like it's just faded from public consciousness:
>SF1 is at least remembered by proxy of being a janky start to an iconic franchise
>SF2 completely revamped the genre
>SF3 is polarizing, both killing the series for about a decade but also having infamy in EVO Moment 37, so it's at least notorious at minimum
>SF4 revived the series
>SFVfags and SF6fags are flinging shit at each other regularly
Meanwhile, outside of the characters who originated in the Alpha series, it just... "exists", nothing greater than that, hell it even feels like the subseries with the least competitive/mechanical documentation
