After I beat the paintress, I did like 2 areas, then gave up. I couldn't take fighting more 1hr long bosses with 1 hit kills if you didn't perfect parry.

I played 9 hours and haven't touched it since. The prospect of having to constantly redo fights in order to memorize the attack patterns does not appeal to me.

combat could be harder. its designed to have two avenues of success in combat. bad at team building? win by being good at ddr. bad at rhythm games? build a character that doesnt even need to dodge. im the latter.

By the end of the game you can pretty much guess and parry at the right time and if you can't, it takes one time to get used to the attack pattern.

It is definitely one of the best stories in video games. I read like a 100 light novels a year and the shittiest ones would be a 10/10 if they were in video games. The story would make a good book series.
