I think we owe this game an apology.

It sucked. But it wasn't nearly as bad as games like Legend of Dragoon or actual bargain bin games like Enchanted Arms.

The plot twist is actually kino. The only problem is that its the 3rd game in a series and the twist completely fucks up all of the Star Ocean games before and after So3 to the point a fan of the other games would be better off not playing SO3. But if you ignore that and think of the twist in a vacuum then it's kino
