people just want to play fun games which is why only nintendo and indie games are killing it right now. Cope all you want. Everyone else is shutting doubt or losing a ton of money. Third parties are fucked, microsoft fucked, sony fucked.

I guess you do have live service slop like fortnite, roblox, marvel rivals, gachashit etc that makes money but those are playable on literally every device and free to play 99% of the time. When you think of traditional games that you buy and own, Nintendo and indies are the only ones actually making games people want to play and buy. Stardew Valley sold 41M and it continues to sell crazy on EVERY platform. Think about that. It's a fucking 16 bit farming simulator for fuck's sake. Yet people aren't bored with that. They want more of it! Do you know how many studios with hundreds of employees would KILL to sell even 10M, let alone 40M? Nintendo also sold more software on the Switch than they have any other platform. Games like Mario Kart selling 70M, Animal Crossing selling 60M, Pokemon games doing 30M each. It's insane.
