Still in place last I checked. Bethesda's official lore keeps pushing that garbage Dunmeri tradition where the kid takes the mother’s race to "honor the matrilineal customs" or some equally lazy handwave. Completely contradicts how genetics, race, and even their own depiction of half-breeds work in the rest of the games. Just another example of Morrowind trying to be "deep lore" while actually making zero sense.
