I skipped the entire 8th generation of gaming consoles. Previously I was always an idort but for whatever reason I never got PS4/Xbox1. I've always had a gaming PC so I played most of this era's multiplats already. I was just wondering what are the standout console exclusive games from this era I might have missed?

Just got myself a cheap PS4pro, XboneX, and Switch from a cousin and was wondering what console exclusive games I should look into for each.

Switch has a pretty big backlog. Go through all the old Nintendo Directs to find all the important physical games, since some won't be listed on "Switch exclusive" lists since either they're ports/remakes or they've been ported/remade since. Then skim through Dekudeals by year to find any cool download-only games you missed.

PS4 is weird. Bloodborne, Gravity Rush 2 and Last Guardian are the only standouts. There's some other stuff like Concrete Genie and Sakura Wars, but not much. I'd recommend going through the Vita catalog, because there's a bunch of "not exclusive" games that are only on PS4 and Vita, and you'll usually want the PS4 version. There's also a handful of really good PSVR1 games like No Heroes Allowed VR, but the price tag is kinda steep.

On Xbox, I'd really recommend getting a Series X instead. The bone has fuck all exclusive to it, and you get better performance on backwards compatibility for Xbox/360/XBONE games on Series X.
