>>714568927The closest to "Cozy" are other borderline games like those "Vampire Survivor-likes" since you literally just walk around and collect shit while waiting for stuff to happen, it's only really the time-scale and theme that is any different.
I could make an educated guess and say that women want games like ARK:Survival Evolved or Palworld, essentially "Cozy" games but with actual stakes and social interaction. My sister put 300 hours into both those games and now she has moved back to games that in her own words: "Are kind of like Skyrim" which essentially just means open world RPGs with a large(er) emphasis on roleplaying and visual character customization.
I managed to get her into the souls games 5 years ago but she disliked DaS3 and ER simply because they were "too stressful", otherwise she liked the souls games as well but that is probably an outlier and what drew her into DeS, DaS1/2 and even BB were the mystery around the lore/world and her essentially being tricked into playing them since the first thing she got to do was create a character in FROMs character creator which I guess just tickled her female brain in all the right ways before she was essentially forced through a trial by fire.
She always spent a minimum of 1 hour on each character every time she played any of the souls games yet every character always ended up looking almost exactly the same but with a different hair color or style.
TLDR: Women still want Cozy slop but now they want it with more at stake (so essentially just harder/more punishing) along with at least simulated social interactions.
