I played some demos again, here's what I thought of them.

My cat won't listen to reason. What do I do?

First I tried Lammana, and I'm having a hard time remembering what word you'd use to refer to this style or what game it's ripping off. Anyway, you start off going through a museum exhibit but once you watch the video you gain control of the guy in the past who is travelling on the Olympic to meet Tesla and HP Lovecraft or some shit.

This game gets a tentative yes from me.

As far as cats go, I actually have several cat-related demos this time. First is Darkbound, although, the demo actually crashed pretty early on into the game and I didn't bother restarting it. Glancing at the steam forums showed that there are a myriad of glitches and bugs. But it doesn't really matter. The game looks solid and it will fix all it's glitches by the time it comes out. Wishlisted.

This game is sort of curious though, because I thought it was created by the same people who made Lost Homework, but apparently, it's two different developers making very very similar cat based games.

Visual Novel demos are hard, I might stop playing them because I never enjoy them when I know I will just get blocked on a cliffhanger if I get into the story. This one seemed decent enough though.

This demo was only in Russian. But, it might be in english someday! wishlisted. I want my russian goth grocery store gf.

this one was extremely janky. Another one I'd be willing to keep an eye on and see if it improves with further updates.

I was like 99% certain that this game had a title when I downloaded because I feel like I would have remembered if I saw a game that called itself untitled. This is the game's store page.

but when you click on download demo, you don't get untitled project, you get something called rbfx that looks like this. Because of the extreme disparity between what was advertised and what I got, I didn't even start up the demo.

also it looked like shit. It's going on the ignore list I never want to see this game again.

Since i play games that are thematically similar close together, I also tried out Schrodinger's Call. It was better. Some people might enjoy it, but I don't think I was really into the whole thing. It seemed like they might be going for some sort of shakespeare thing because the black cat was named Hamlet and then a girl named Ophelia called you on the phone too.

don't know, the game wasn't even good enough for me to bother waiting to see the catgirl but I suspect you don't get to see her at all since the whole concept of the game is not knowing about her state of existence.

if you advertise catgirls you should show me a catgirl. but even if you did it would probably have been ugly based on how the playable characters looked.

This one was actually really fun. FMV game. Your girlfriend is a hot stripper babe and you play as a game developer who bankrupted his studio or something and now you're going to get kidnapped and forced to play one of those murder games or something.

best one of the bunch I've played so far, but I'm still actively going through demos while I post.

This one was a Golden Idol style deduce names and events from incomplete information, seemed reasonably decent. Wishlisted. The store page claims it's a prequel to some other game I never heard of, though? whatever, who cares.

so this game somehow managed to disconnect my HDMI input from my computer to my tv and I had to reboot to get it displaying properly again. so this one is going to be a no.

good god, imagine using unity instead of RPGmaker so that not only does you game run slow, it also looks like the worst kind of RPGmaker game anyway. why did he do everything in the dumbest way possible?

this one was pretty good actually, you go around as a pink haired bimbo in a pretty irreverent world. the game didn't even really bother giving you a plot, you're just locked out of your apartment and wander around figuring out a way to get back inside, I guess. according to the steam page you want to attend a resurrection party but I don't know what that is.
