Why can't fixed camera games like Sh2 become popular again? The fixed cameras help the game become cinematic and atmospheric.

They cannot become popular again for two reasons.
1. They're harder to play. Dumb people struggle with the perspective and how to control their characters. It's not 'accessible.'
2. They're hard to make. You need to have artistic vision and the ability to plan pacing based on suspense. Few modern devs can do this.
