AAA should stop pushing for top of the line graphics, people dont care.
To put it in simple numbers
From 1990 we jumped from 10 graphics to 30 graphics, which is huge, but the last decade we jumped from 1000 graphics to 1200 graphics. On paper thats bigger but in percentages its way smaller. We pay out of our ass to run games that look 20% better that were made by devs who have to work 50% longer to make that 20%.
Its the same with audio, you know? You can buy a 80 dollar headphone today that would put a 1k headphone from 20 years ago to same, but the top of the line is still thousands of dollars for that 5% extra.
Just as with audio, we should stop caring about that few percent.
I dont know, does this make sense? I'm tired and taking a shit
