Anyone else dislike prequels in general?

You experience a flanderized version of it, I'm not talking of any game in particular either but the lightning in a bottle situation of the original game won't be present in spinoffs/prequels as it exists just to make more cash and in some cases the creators have no real idea what made the original good

The game is pretty good on the train but after that part it's like they just stopped trying. On top of that there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to play as Rebecca, her gun is worse, has less health and doesn't even run any faster than Billy.

I have never made it much further than the early part of the mansion, no idea if the remakes fixed it but it felt like normal was too hard and easy and was too easy when you got out of the train

Saddest part of FF7 Remake is that the stuff from the og is still really good despite stupid revisionsm such as gooblood. Its all the crisis Core, Advent Children etc shit that sticks out like s sore thumb both tonaly and in terms of art direction.

Other than Zack being the one to name Seventh Heaven Crisis Core was a perfect prequel and by far the best thing related to FFVII in any way.

The whole Lisa Trevor thing, yeah man this was the true origin of the G Virus. Except we already had a explanation and that was Birkin further developing the T-Virus to the point of neglecting his entire family. It also turns Birkin into a semi-fraud in a certain regard.
