The first one is definitely better. As soon as you get the sniper rifle the whole overworld concept loses its teeth. Every real threat can be popped standing still from 300 yards away for the first 3/4 of the game. It finally feels like the first game again for the last quarter but its too little too late

It tried to follow the trends of the time but any segment that wasnt a hallway of mobs that will 1,000% gank you for looking at them felt more like slop than the evil within
Games still a B+ but its following an A+++ act so it feels shitty.

I enjoyed it. I only have one last achievement to do and it's the one here you have to beat the game on hardest difficulty.
