>Forza Motorsport "is no more", according to a former employee at Turn 10 Studios, though the Horizon series will continue.
>Fred Russell, who worked at the studio as content coordinator for four years until 2016, shared a post on Facebook with images from across his time working on the series. "Turn 10 Studios has shuttered the Forza Motorsport space and the team is no more," he said. "A very sad day for one of the best car racing video games. I loved my time there."

The latest forza motorsport game was a technical disaster, performance was in the absolute gutter even for a modern AAA release. And its one of the flagship Xbox franchises. Its pretty clear MS mismanaged the fuck out of it and had it thrown together by a series of indian sweatshops, not even utilizing all the technical improvements made in horizon over the years. And now they'll just blame "the market" or something and shutter it now that the audience has rejected their slop, despite gran turismo proving there is a massive audience for simcade racers

>>714596909 (OP)FM was an innovative series when it first started, but has been stagnant for a decade or more. There's a huge opportunity for a simcade sportscar racer with a good campaign mode. It's kind of lame that the Codemasters F1 game is the only one out there that has a good single player mode because it's locked to a particular series/license.
