>>714598723 (OP)>Who at Blizzard thought this was a good idea?Khadgar is just an example of a long running issue that's been plaguing Blizzard for years. The inability to ever kill off any Alliance characters
>B-but Varian!Varian died nearly a decade ago and that was purely because Metzen wanted less work. And Horde's managed to lose 5 notable characters since then.
Alliance characters don't die. They just get inconvenienced and then factory reset either a patch later, or an expansion later. This has always been the case and was especially bad in War Within when they do two fake out deaths with Magni and Khadgar, just to bring them back quickly. And then the only actual notable. death in the expansion is the ex Horde leader Gallywix.
The Alliance has no stakes because the Alliance playerbase can't handle anything bad happening to them. And this keeps negatively effecting the game by allowing blizzard to do bullshit like this. Magni should've died. Khadgar should've died. Gelbin should've died back in BFA instead of instantly coming back as Iron Man. Malfurion should've died countless times.
