>No way to mark them, and there are rumors of some being missed due to that

Good job Nintendo. Thank you for making us having to do everything in the open world simply because it's there, and not have any way to know what we did or not (other than the ? panels which each map has 5 except for Crown City due to it having 10).

At least I think I finished every P-Switch mission on the Southern and Western parts of the map. And the desert is a pain in the ass to navigate, which you wouldn't remotely expect from a desert.

I am the type of idiot who found all 1000 Koroks in Breath of the Wild, but at least Nintendo had the decency to mark each and every one you found in both that and Tears of the Kingdom.

Going to each and every one of them, using a 6 hour video as a guide.

And will need to do the same for the Peach Coins.

Many normalniggers and neurotypicals are calling the open-world boring too. Genuine company shills are the only people calling it fun. Hell, LEGO Batman 2's open world is far more fun than this and that shit's getting old by now

Nope. There is no way to telling how many collectables there are. The consensus says that there's 394 P-Switches for instance, but that may not even be the final number, since 394 is a weird, arbitrary number. Those are the number of P-Switches that have been found or recorded. There could be some odd ones that aren't recorded at all. But we don't know since there's no number for totals, and some of them are in really obtuse or obscure locations.

You are the problem with gaming today.

I'm happy that Nintendo are trying to remove these types of player from their market. Games are supposed to be fun.

Also, P-Switches are blue, but ones you already did are gray. This is a problem, since the lighting, especially in the volcanic area, makes the gray switches look blue sometimes. And you are not informed if you did it at all when activating it until you complete it.

This game will be around fir the entirety of Switch 2. Why rush the collection? Same reason with the mooks and Kamek. I'm not dying to play as a fish bone. I'll play it for maybe a couple games and never touch it again like Goomba.

>The consensus says
Who fucking cares. Fuck.
This is like when speedrun fags were totally convinced that they were the first to find the rainbow coin in DK64 that was hidden under the dirt patch hidden beneath the grass. Like a couple of decades after the game's release. As if kids all over the globe hadn't already found that coin and not registered it as anything groundbreaking because it was never a groundbreaking discovery.

If you've found everything. That's cool and neat.
If you think there is even more stuff to find. Then search more for it if you're curious.
If you actually find something more beyond what you thought was possible, then that's just real neato and awesome.
Only your curiosity is the limit. And that's cool.

It's honestly a bit lame and disappointing how many games gives you hard cut percentages or checkmarks, or worse yet lists or whatever all to perfectly catalogue whether or not you're actually done with a game or even to what degree.
The scope of a game is so rarely left as a mystery nowadays. And that's kind of sad. Games felt bigger when there was no one to tell you what the limits were. You had to find that out yourself, and even then you could never be 100% certain, just varying degrees of confident.

This, what's the point of having optional shit if they keep rubbing it in your face that you're missing something. And yes I'm including achievements in that rubbing in your face part.

I'm really glad Mario Kart World's map isn't this ultra gamified RPG slop with quests, objectives, a map with waypoints, exp and stats, etc.

You just wander around and find things in your own time hanging out. It's actually very chill, I don't feel this sense of tension that I'm "missing out" by not doing the next thing. If I find something or notice a nice detail it's cool. It feels intrinsically motivated. When I'm bored I just stop.
So glad Nintendo doesn't do all the typical progression slop.

Everyone who's dopamine receptors are fried because of achievementslop needs to be taken out back and put down

Botw marked your map with shrines and korok puzzles you already completed, even if you didn't want to 100% all the seeds, it was useful for identifying areas you hadn't searched yet

They add them on the 1.1.1 update and even then you can see your stickers
Zoomers that can't just keep track of those things and need a checklist and map for everything don't actually enjoy playing games.
