They should have had a pair of ninja jump you after beating the Tutorial boss.
>Sekiro cuts them both down, leaving himself open for a second
>Genichiro takes the opportunity to dismember Sekiro's arm, establishing him as a punk who will do anything to win

Sekiro and Bloodborne are the only good Fromsoft games

The holy tetrarchy is DeS, DS1, BB, and Sekiro
Ds2 is slop that tried, Ds3 is shameless slop.
Elden Ring would have been impressive 15 years ago.

doesnt a guy throw a shuriken at you if you beat Genny?

They should just roll credits here, fuck it. Nobody who beats Genichiro first try would be confused as to what happened, they'd all realise they were supposed to lose, go do that, then actually play the game. Would've been fun

Soultrash "difficulty" in a nutshell:
>enemy does a telegraph
>telegraph arbitrarily stops in a completely unnatural way for a fraction of a second
>actual attack comes out in about 0.2 secs (0.26 is average human reaction time, Fromshit games have a 0.2-0.5 sec input delay on top)
>if you rolled dodged based on the telegraph, you get hit because it has a pause to rollcatch you
>if you try to dodge the attack it comes out faster than what can be humanly reacted
>get hit/die until you memorize enemy moves (totally not trial and error)

So let's reevaluate your statement. Does the above not stand for your holy tetrarchy?

how does he end up in that pose after cutting off his arm? He looks like just leaned forward to stab him with the blade upside down

>dude souls games are totally about difficulty
Sure, if you listen to games journos + Bandai's 14 year old ad campain
People who actually have fun playing vidya know that the difficulty wasn't what made Fromsoft's games good. Elden Ring's DLC is "difficult" and its also totally soulless.
Meanwhile Ds1 has an atmosphere that keeps bringing people back. BB follows in Ds1's level design while telling an original story, and Sekiro is just fun.
That's all there is to it, no need to rage my friend.

sounds like you're not a fan of souls games. you may want to leave this thread as I predict there will be more discussion here

The garbage roll catch/input reading design you describe is not in those 4 games, or at least it’s significantly less common. That’s why everyone complains about DaS3 and especially ER, where that stuff is every boss.
The only encounters across DeS, DaS, BB, or Sekiro I recall where that happens is the chained ogre’s grab.

Well done anon, i recommend immediately starting a new game to see just how much better you are now that you will just clown on the enemies that kicked your ass the first time

Sekiro needed to go crazier with its bosses
>Giant Ape that stands back up after you kill it
Fuck YEAH thats what Im talking about.
>Nothing else nearly as kino in the entire game
Booo.
Reminds me of when I picked up the Suicide Pill item and that got me thinking
>Oh shit there's gonna be a boss that can inflict a fate worse than death on you
Or
>Oh shit there's gonna be a boss who will drop his guard if you fake your death
Then neither of those things happened. Sekiro is wasted potential: the game. Even its creators didnt believe in it enough for a DLC
