What single player game can I play to feel the wonder of big mmo worlds again? Why haven't anyone really try to bring mmo formula to single player games?

I would.
I found this game called Erenshor and it looks super comfy. Like literally single player mmo experience with bots pretending to be players. Some would say the best of two worlds. Also WoW SPP seems curious.

Depends on what you're asking for from a game. I like mmos having a big world, good progression systems and some decent grind. Not many single player games offer that kind of experience really (and fewer and fewer mmos sadly)

I've been looking for the same thing, man. Something with a wealth of choice in builds without being annoying skilltree ARPG faggotry, getting walled by high level mobs until I'm strong enough and through that having a sense of wonder and fear in exploring the world. Cyberpunk 2077's been scratching the itch, but it's just not the same.

Some minimal balance is desired. I wouldn't want to one-shot everything I touch throughout the entire adventure nor would I want to get dunked on by anything constantly. There are enemy HP/damage sliders if you want things to be less of a snooze or want damage sponges.

Gacha is meh because you have to hope the devs make a character that looks the way you want it to, then you have to pray it also has the same gameplay style or weapon that you would like to use on a character that looks like that. I wish devs would go back to letting people make their own characters.

I played the first one for like 70 hours, it's a lot of simple and easy fun. It did take me a little bit to get into it though, I recommend just running off and doing whatever you want, ignore the main quest and factions until the end. The second one is shaping up very nicely too.

I just like collecting rare items. It probably wasn't as fun when it first came out, but all the endgame update stuff teasing you makes you want to explore until you can access those things. Optional bosses in each region drop the best items for your level so you're incentivized to find and fight them all. Unique puzzles that require some reading of the lore. Epic level upgrades appear in your crafting recipes which tells you that there are rare items you night have missed. For example, dragonscales are an ingredient but I played for dozens of hours before I noticed that, I didn't even know it had dragons. After that I combed the whole world for any other secrets. It just does a good job of making you want to find everything.
Anonymous No.714635093
>>714633908
it also does a good job delineating areas but difficulty, like you can't realistically clear high level stuff if you aren't actually high level with good gear, you will die. There's an expansion area that you can't access at all until like level 50 but you can't actually kill anything there at all until level 60, it just makes you want to keep building.
