Remember when Traveller's Tales developed a clone of Jak and Daxter using the engine from Wrath of Cortex?

the marketing for it had some deranged tagline like "imagine a game that's all games"
pretty bad but playable

I actually do remember seeing this game at a friend's place but I never played it. Looked fun but I only watched him play it like 30min

I was too terrible at this as a child to get past the large boat section so I just didn't know that the latter half of the game is just proto no mans sky

Lmao I remember that tagline, it was plastered all over the PS2 demo disc preview. They really thought they were cooking with that one. Game had like five genres awkwardly smashed together-platformer, kart racer, weird stealth bits. Felt like a Frankenstein’s monster of mid-2000s tropes. But yeah, oddly charming in that janky Euro dev way.
