You have posters who don't remember Fire Emblem on the GameCube and Wii. The speed of those games compared to the GBA was brutally slow, enemy phases took forever. The 3DS Fire Emblem games brought the series back from those agonizing turns. Watch any speedrun for Path of Radiance, look at them enemy phases compared to Awakening speed.

In my opinion a very good game that felt like a love letter to the series, and a farewell. But it was so good they kept making more, people loved having a massive amount of characters to ship together.
