P5X being a gacha isn't what's wrong with it. I mean it's not a good thing, but there's more pressing issues.
The game is such an obvious asset flip cashgrab it's fucking embarrassing. There's very little new in terms of music, visuals or mechanics. It's just more P5, in a shittier, cheaper form with awful writing and clunky combat.

It separates the daily life and dungeon crawler parts. The tutorial is a few hours and sets up the game. You get 5 daily action points (per real life day) to spend time with social links or raising social stats or working to get yen. It’s actually pretty fun. The schedule goes from “yesterday” to “today” every day to be a perpetual calendar, there’s always school and no holidays for now. The dungeons you can explore as much as you want at your own pace and it gives gems to level up your party members and you roll for party members but you get story party members too. There’s 2 palaces out right now with more added later. The protagonist gets exp mostly from quests and dailies. I played a little of Genshin and Wuwa as f2p but Phantom X is really friendly for f2p people. With good strats you can take down high level bosses feels like a fun challenge for me lol and since only 2 palaces out you can do dailies and wait and build up exp and gems. I like the story more than Strikers lol the subway slammer actually feels like a psycho you’d meet in real life.
