This shit is unplayable. I'm a boomer who loves classic Survival Horror tank control, the LAU Tomb Raider trilogy, and even similar older PS1 games like Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, but I gave up trying to get through the first Tomb Raider. Classic or modern controls, it doesn't matter, everything has a lag to it, making platforming nigh impossible, and Lara's guns just kind of lock onto whatever they feel like, and sometimes nothing at all.

People cope by saying they were good at the time but you don't need to put some asterisk on other actually good 1996 games. You can play Quake, Super Mario 64 and Twisted Metal 2 today and have a great time.

Tank controls are the most intuitive way to do 3rd person games

Hey lil buddy. I'm 27yo and never played the first Tomb Raider games back in the day, only the titles past Angel of Darkness. I tried TR for the first time last year and it was an amazing breath of fresh air. Easily one of the best games I've played in years.

These games are on sale right now for pretty dang cheap, just picked up the first collection.

I remember the first time I was shown Tomb Raider on the Ps1. One of the first 3d games I ever played and it blew my mind at the time just running around the mansion area. Looking forward to giving it a proper play, will stick with classic visuals
