Deus Ex is an amalgamation of conspiracy theories and real history. It brings up real facts and uses them as a basis for ongoing evens in the game, but while the writing is good and FUN I don't think it was really much political commentary OR predictions. Unless you count the 9/11 thing but that's just not true.

MGS2 definitely 'predicted' more with it's AI bullshit and the commentary had a much bigger impact, but that's because MGS2 was written to be like that. Deus Ex was made as a conspiracy theory cop shooter and deviated from it's roots when it was in early development/drafting.

Deus Ex has a more fun and better story while MGS2 does the gay commentary and predictions part better. Both are good games.

One is a stealth action videogame where they fit a sociopolitical message in it.
The other is fullbown conspiracy theory galore. It's like throwing one thing and it sticks on the wall while the other person throws 100.

Biological construction aside, such a thing wouldn't actually be impossible to make, though it it be really shitty and impractical. Automation is at the point that you very much could create an ecosystem of machines that could theoretically make anything as long as you could feed in raw materials and proper instructions. But it would very prone to malfunction and would also be objectively worse than just having a dedicated assembly process for specific things.
As for biological construction, we have had the capabilty to clone humans for quite a while - it's just that no one has ever done so do to the ethical problems involved in cloning. At least not publically; I would be surprised if someone hasn't already tried it and just didn't disclose it to the public.

Actually, he didn't direct them, those were directed by the king of kino, the director of versus. Kojima just encouraged him to have fun with it and do his thing, that was all his input on them.
People really love blaming kojima for some of the few things we actually know he didn't do.

Deus Ex's political stuff is fun because every playthrough you notice something you'd forgotten. Especially in France. I'm pretty sure that one bar has the bartender talking about think-tanks and propaganda funding, the lady talking about the engulfing of Europe by globohomo stomping out separate cultures in pursuit of a monoculture that generates the most profit, AND the drunk guy casually saying Uncle Ted was right about some things.

Thatโ€™s the funniest part-Ion Storm accidentally created the most prophetic game ever made and then immediately tried to disown it like embarrassed parents. โ€œNo no we were just kidding! Donโ€™t look too deep!โ€ Meanwhile half the playerbase was having their third eye opened in the DuClare mansion. The writers thought they were being clever with their postmodern wink-wink nonsense and instead they summoned a digital grimoire.

You are worthless retarded Kojimbo drone

>"Mr. Kitamura really respected and honored the original work, so like the helicopter, the chopper flying up, the scene there is pretty loyal to the original scene. But then we said, "This isn't it. If we're going to have Mr. Kitamura do it, we want him to do it his way." So what you're not seeing now, but what you'll see later on in the game is totally different. You'll be shocked."
>โ€“ Hideo Kojima, interview with GameSpot, May 30, 2003

>Kojima just encouraged him to have fun with it
Nigger, Kojima wanted the over the top cutscenes and specifically asked him to direct them. Him then bouncing and pretending Kitamura did his own weird silly thing and claiming the remake is non-canon simply speaks volumes of how he is a piece of shit ready to throw others under the bus and take zero responsibility for it. Hideous Kojimbo pretends to be an auteur doing his own weird avant-garde thing while he constantly mimics every recent trend from first person shooters and middle east zogbot simulators to open world slop and Death Stranding 2 is just Evangelion Rebuild with more action and more casualization so you can play it as an even shittier TPP.

Why are you defending this subhuman worthless hack exactly? Do you fuck him or what?
