I switched to Windows 11 a month ago when I built my new PC. So far it's alright. What I don't like is the soulless minimalist design that you see everywhere but W10 won't be supported forever so at some point you have to switch. That point was now for me

Do people hate 11 because the OS itself sucks, or do they just have bad memories of upgrading to Windows 10 and don't want to go through it again? I'm still using Windows 10 because I can't be bothered upgrading.

Why go through all the trouble of removing pozz from Windows when you can get out a Steam Deck?

Because that means you bought a Steam Deck instead of a Switch 2.

>Windows Recall
Show me 1 (One) x86-64 machine with Recall running on it. 1 (One). Just 1 (One).
>b-but
It died on ARM, and we're a almost at the next feature update since it got released there, which is looking tiny due to the fact that some people JUST got 24H2. There's been no talk of it since. I think they want to pretend it never happened.
>Onedrive
Win+X, uninstall it.
>Updates having a habit of breaking things
Generally when you forcibly rip components out of Windows, updates that rely on it tend to break your Frankenstein build.
>Microdick account required
Underage spotted. Everyone in the world has their hotmail account from 1996.
>Forced to "upgrade" whether you want to or not. You can circumvent this by not buying a TPM module
Just be trans already.
>Ads
I never see them. Maybe you're doing it wrong.
>AI shit that nobody asked for
Other than neat features in Paint or Notepad, there's nothing AI built into Windows on x86-64. Copilot is optional, and remote ChatGPT with a shorter memory.
>Now with more spyware
You can literally review the telemetry data sent, and it's nothing to write home about.

Now that I've told the truth, that makes me a shil.

Because Windows is made by the dumbest fucking apes. The whole lack of bare bones customization aside or the fact that it is a literal tablet OS like Windows 8 was; it has so many stupid minor bugs that make me scratch my head as to who has coded this piece of shit. For example, if you drag and drop a file, it will query the target location you're hovering over BEFORE you even drop it. If you drag a file from an explorer window from the right to the left, you will hover over network locations and it will lock up the computer if they can't be reached, despite you not even dropping the file there. More retarded bugs are that the windows file dialog is single threaded and isn't async, so your computer will just lock up if it has to wait for folders to finish being sorted or index. The people who work there are so fucking retarded that I can't believe they put out a product like this and if it wasn't for EAC I would've switched fully to linux a long time ago, but Linux got the same stupid. Like why is the clipboard paste on the middle mouse button and why do you need a driver to fix this? it's a massive security risk because websites can clickjack the middle mouse button (which you press to open a new tab or for scrolling) in order to end up uploading your sensitive data you have in your clipboard (files, passwords, etc).

Outside of privacy stuff it's not that it's worse in any particularly huge way, it's that there's literally nothing better about it. If MS wasn't forcing it there would be no reason to "upgrade." If you don't care about the privacy aspects or whatever, it's still pointless beyond giving you less customization and more little annoyances. There isn't a single non arbitrary reason to want 11.
