on one hand, good
on the other hand it sucks no one's tried (and succeeded) at cloning bethesda's schtick
the closest was outer worlds and that was very meh

almost nobody aiming for a cool handcrafted style of open world meant for replaying/random shit knows how to make a world that compares to skyrim's and even morrowind/oblivion
Theres devs that know how to surpass it (pic related) but then they completely job at actually putting the map to good use

Skyrim had less than half the releases that RE4 had and yet nobody bitched and moaned about Capcom endlessly releasing RE4 over and over again. But somehow, even though it's the greatest game ever made and vastly superior to RE4, Skyrim's handful of releases was some terrible affront to humanity.

Skyrim trully boggles the mind. A game that has nothing going for it, shallow pool noodle combat, worthless magic, a world that revolves entirely around the player with no consequences, filled with draugr quests and devoid of any thoughtful or interesting writing. Is this really the power of being baby's first RPG? Coming out at just the right time to grab a generation by storm
