However, if you accept more responsibilities (pursue a more involved career, start a family, maintain social circles, etc) then you won't have much time for games.
The catch is that, ultimately you find things that are more important to you than games. Like, you can be a dad and have a job, and easily play 20+ hours of games a week, but if you really care about your kids and their development, or are working on advancing in your job, you will want to spend more time on those things, and the games will be less important.
TL;DR: he's wrong. If he wanted to play games, he'd find time to play games. This goes double for someone rich enough to have the ability just drop everything and become the ultra NEET for the rest of his lifespan. He just cares about other things more.
