The dub is really bad and the text used is from the really terrible dub. Dubfags get earraped, while subchads have to put up with text reading "aww i neawwy shidded mysewf hehe" while listening to a relatively normal but childish girl with a verbal tic.

Is there a mod that undoes the w's for Charlotte's dialogue? I don't mind it being spoken but it's illegible as text. I can't believe they used that script for the SNES version in the Switch collection.

I tried it and didn't care for it. People praise it for being an accurate recreation of an SNES game in 3D, but it feels incredibly barebones in terms of content, and there were too many scenes where characters who were in my party did nothing because they were only designed around a single character. The areas were also really boring to explore.

This game is very jank like that, even in the SNES original. The third character is basically along for the ride, and only the 1st/second picks you make at the start really get much plot relevance.

For the time it was made, it was quite ambitious to have "multiple" main characters but it did suffer for it. It probably would've been better to have 3 distinct but overlapping plot lines that could share some characters than whatever they made here

you're not wrong about the 3D areas being boring to explore. The game is better as a 2D game than it is a 3D game but as a long time fan of the original I really enjoyed seeing everyone in 3D
