Alien Weyland Yutani
>You have to go through the pain of first wagecucking a bunch of mini-games before resuming playing the actual fun game that's a futuristic Grand Theft Auto set in the notBlade Runner universe.
So this is what Alien1979 and Aliens1986 was actually all about.

Alien Isolation without the Alien is an actual satisfying & fun game to play.

Rush through everything and don't have time to immerse yourself in the level.

I've been meaning to play this game for more than a decade, literally bought it on PS3, but I immediately got put off finding out how the game is around 30 hours long and you can never really "lose" the Alien since it always teleports to your area and has some kind of percentage of knowing exactly where you are. I've heard there is a "remove tether" mod for PC though, so I will probably play that version; if I ever do play the game.

The alien doesn't just teleport to where you are, if it's in another room/hallway it has to actually traverse the area to find you. Like if you see it run off somewhere, it's not just going to teleport back to you, it would have to travel back to find you. And you can use your tools to distract it or even lure it to attack other humans.
>has some kind of percentage of knowing exactly where you are.
It gets hints to where you are, but it doesn't just teleport to you. It wouldn't be much fun if you could just ignore the xenomorph for the entire game

The game is only 9 hours long if you stop crouching like a faggot and only like 5 hours long if you don't explore every nook and cranny and just run around. You can run around if you simply use the mod that removes the Alien.

Wait, Alien was about wagecucking all along?

>it's actually shorter if you remove the alien

Ironically this game would have been better as a sandbox adventure clicker puzzle exploration game rather than a stealth death wall game.

Play it around Halloween. Perfect October game. Its biggest issue is the intro being needlessly long. Once you get past it the game is really fun and immersive

>It gets hints to where you are
well it shouldn't
over the span of a level it will find you no matter where you hide... I get it that it was the "author's intention" to keep you moving and/or out of your comfort zone but at the end of the day it's straight up cheating, other way around it

>if you simply use the mod that removes the Alien
from what I remember there is some sort of an editor, with which you can diddle the parameters of the alien... does that ring a bell? can you disable it "cheating" like I said in my other reply?

I don't mind the Alien but would prefer to play the game as "Thief/Dishonored in space"
