Crappy weapon selection.
The weapons that look cool (maces, hammers and truncheons) SUCK and do practically no damage.
No heavy weapons like two handed axes or maces. Axes, maces, the one polearm in the game and swords, which are the only option that actually does damage btw, all share the same moveset.
Enemies get shields and heavy weapons but not you.
Your horse has a fear meter and will throw you off if you get anywhere near monsters, making mounted overworld combat non-viable.
You cannot wear a helmet. You will HAVE to walk around like an idiot that could be killed with one blow to the head.
Combat is Souls, but kinda worse.
Enemies are bloody annoying & damage sponges.
There are no furry races.

OP here quite unironically. So far I’m loving this game. Visuals are outstanding, the music?? It’s all studio quality recordings which is insane nowadays and actual voice actors doing the characters is such a nice touch. Excellent game and the hate seems to come from very subjective and contrarian rather than objective opinions.

2 was better and had a cool medieval war story and a baller villain. I dropped 3 after you get to the big city. Don't want to wander around poking my nose into every corner of this xbox hueg world so I can listen to werewolf man and his fucking gnome talk about their exes.

Because you are a Witcher. That is the class fantasy. His head appeared to have been fractured from what appears to have been a pipe or baton and blood was leaking to the floor, his two katanas were lying on the floor a few meters away, their blades sgattered into small shards and his corpses anus was stretched and some weird white substance was leaking from it.
When I searched the corpse out of curiousity, most if his valuables have been taken off his corpse already but I found a hard drive in one of his pockets that was full of scat, diaper, blackened, cuck and yuri hentai.
I am glad I wasn't a "sword dancer" and ended up like that guy too.
