I was retarded and specced into hacking, cyber modules and AGI, with little regard for combat or health. Still, I can always make up for it I guess. The meme about it being unbeatable without the correct build is supposedly not a thing anymore.

I don't remember ever playing a psi build. I remember thinking it was lame the "mage" class needed to carry a ball everywhere instead of just casting psionic attacks at will. Some of the powers look fun, even if the force pull thing from the training is underwhelming in a world where we've had the Half-Life 2 Gravity Gun for two decades.

I'm not that far in, but it has made it so pressing use on a place that requires an item automatically uses it instead of forcing you to rummage through your inventory.
It also made it so you can't get softlocked near the end of the game for having the wrong build from what I hear.

No. Even in the original you instantly ended alarms by just interacting with a security panel. If you hit an ice node while hacking it you break the terminal and set off the alarm and can't use it again until it's repaired.
