Deck really isn't all that great for Switch emulation, it runs most simple 2D exclusives like a charm but tends to eat shit when it comes to demanding first party titles that either have frame drops or just run at unplayable framerates. The deck primarily shines at PC games.

Legion Go has one trackpad and while the display isn't OLED, it's 144Hz and a top of the line IPS.
You can also wait for Legion Go 2 that comes out in September, it will have Z2E so performance will be great, 32GB unified RAM, and a 120Hz VRR HDR 1200p OLED. It will literally BTFO the OLED Deck.

I love this little guy but Switch emulation is too inconsistent for it to be a replacement, especially since setting up multiple controllers for local multi is a huge chore compared to playing on the original hardware. For the kind of party multiplayer games the Switch's first party library excels at that's a deal breaker

I do own an OG Switch so they might color my perception but the Reason I got the Steam Deck was to play my PC games on the Go and retro games. Why today theres better Handheld PC hardware wise, Steam OS currently beats Windows Handhelds by a mile in terms of user experience. I will wait and see what they do with the Xbox ROG. If they can get actual first class citizen experience on a Windows handheld at a reasonable price then the Steam Deck might be obsolete.
