Beat it on release. I haven't played it since the combat changes that allegedly made it less ass, but dark souls game design of absurd enemy damage from mooks and mandatory corpse runs absolutely did not align with the complete lack of precision or control the whip gave you. The puzzles where you pulled a sword out of a statue were a godsend because that sword had actual combos and a decent attack cadence. I kept that shit for most of a dungeon and used it on a few optional minibosses because goddamn.

Not only did they changed Fury, but also made the gameplay soulslike instead like the two previous games were.
And don't get me started on her not getting a proper altform.

>In Darksiders Chronicles, Strife turns into a hulking reptile demon thing with too many guns
All these are fucking cool forms while Fury...gets nothing but burning hair instead some she-monster form with ultra-extendo whipblades that would make Dark Prince from Prince of Persia The Two Thrones green out of jealousy.

Gotta be honest, I did not enjoy darksiders 2. Just too much padding. I don't even know if I'll ever play 3. Probably won't. Maybe I'll just replay the first one again some day.
