It was gone about 7 years ago. Breath of the wild, Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate were a promising start. Mario Kart 8 deluxe fixed the issues in Wii U 8.
But I can't think of a single game worth it after say Ultimate. Mediocre at best and shit like Pikmin 4 or Kirby star allies at worst.
