Look at the generals and you would know why.
The game is incredibly stagnant and the best way to play it is to get as much passive income to afford responding any mandated fleets while playing another, actually fun game.

Unironically the mobile spinoff was the better game because at least it didn't hold any pretence about it being a barely interactive screensaver for autists.

Lets also not forget that CCP are now trying to make a sorta sequel to the game that uses NFTs too.
The game died back when tech 3 ships were introduced. Being bought out by pearl abyss was just exhuming the corpse to rape it's maggot infested holes.
They're also selling it so expect an even more kiked out ip hoarder to snatch it up and introduce even more mtx.
