Yeah, Daigo is fine. He had a career outside of fighting games that he could always go back to, but there’s no reason to. He still easily clears over 3k viewers on average just streaming casually and he gets invited to events and does lectures regularly. He also wrote a book that sold decently well. He’s not celebrity status but he’s well known enough in circles and communities that he has connections and is set for life unless he does something retarded like rape or drugs like someone else said.
There’s a lot of FGC guys from the same era that are way worse off than him. They’re either completely irrelevant now or have nothing to show for their life right now. It’s kind of sad seeing some of the guys that used to be really prominent in tournaments streaming now and they barely crack 20 viewers on a good day.
