I liked Paramore but I was the right age for MCR to ruin emo at large for me. Shame, because some of the earlier stuff ain't too shabby. I was more of a Vampirefreaks kid, I got into shit like Jack Off Jill, Mindless Self Indulgence and The Birthday Massacre. Honestly I still love TBM, their album earlier this year was their best in a while.

I've honestly never heard of The Birthday Massacre. Google says they're leafs so maybe that's why? For MCR, I vividly remember watching the Helena music video when I was either junior or senior in high school, so that would've been early 00s. I would agree their peak was probably Black Parade and I think that was 07ish.

Yeah, TBM's Canadian. Think Switchblade Symphony meets Nine Inch Nails and in you're in the ballpark with them. They're consistent, but the 00s stuff is probably their most beloved work.
