Could've even just ditched the 4 and it'd still be a better situation than "new entry uses the original name and nothing more". Guess someone in marketing figured tacking on Prime or Prime 4 would help sales.
Aside from that, there's plenty of potential for more first-person Metroid and while this one likely won't up the ante too extremely, it will be a good intro that will allow them to make new entries with more immersive features going forward if they so desire.
