I think games suck ass on it. It’s a lot more impressive to view weird art and other applications like virtual desktop

No one actually wanted to use it to make "real" games.

It never escaped the shadow of being a casual gamer's device, which doesn't track with the level of investment needed to use it.

VR games are tiring which limits gameplay time and people who are already tired are less likely to start playing VR. Versus a flatscreen game which can be played while half asleep.
