No. They are pretty much different in every way. they use the same general design and technology, but the traces are much wider (so they will wear much slower) and they are much better protected against dust ingress. they can still drift, but it won't be anywhere near as widespread and problematic as switch 1.
the reason we didn't have drift before despite using the same technology is because stuff wasn't cost cut to shit. joycon 1 sticks were made as cheaply as possible which is why they drift.

The actual parts cost literal pennies more than the shit ones they use. They're just jews that want to charge you for replacements so they use the ones that break.
