Game has hundreds hours of pure gameplay at minimum. Crying about story cutscenes is dishonest considering the amount of delivering you do post-game.

Genuinely being serious here.
The game makes you encounter inconveniences and then offer tools for you to allieviate such inconveniences. You get a dopamine rush from being able to skip the traversal, not due to the activity being inherently fun, but because you're able to skip something that is unfun.
I have played the first game up to the second area, where I dropped the game. I haven't experienced any joy from:
>holding triggers to balance
>doing super obvious shit such as using a ladder or bridge to cross a river
Seeing what you get later: roads, skiplines, vehicles doesn't spark any joy for me because they're not fun, it just makes the traversal shorter.

Now, I do enjoy a relaxing walk to wind down. I can do that in real life. I don't have to buy a video game for that?
