I personally don't care about voice acting in games but I can appreciate good voice acting in games like Soul Reaver, Valkyrie Profile and Virtue's Last Reward for example.
This guy just seem to me like an industry play, elevated by the industry itself for no good reason other than to justify their own ego instead of actually doing something the industry needs or players actually want.

He was in DS1? I don't remember that at all. I cannot remember the story beyond "like Mario and Princess Beach" and hundreds of hours of deliveries without any story whatsoever because I couldn't be assed to read the thousands of blog entries you get from them.
DS1 probably has the smallest amount of cutscene to gameplay ratio of any 3D Hideo Kojima game.
