Better yet, read a fucking book where you'll make actual gains and read a substantial amount of text instead of poking away at games that drip feed one sentence at a time every once in a while.
They make easy LNs aimed at younger readers. That doesn't mean that they're aimed at JSLs - but it does mean at the very least you'll have full Furry Ghana and generally simpler subject matter.

出来ますけど。一応
ライトノベルなんて「ノベル」と呼ぶ資格すら無いんですよ
それだけではなくてさ。ライトノベルの日本語基準が低すぎてあのゴミを読んで学ぶことなんかない。せめてエロゲーなら抜けるしさ。普通のゲームなら楽しむこともできる。アニメ鑑賞ならまぁ例によっていいものも見えるし。

Thankfully we're not talking about native Japanese speakers who need 檸檬, 蜘蛛の糸, and 舞姫 shoved down their throats, but instead JSLs who just need to read ANYTHING in large amounts that they can comprehend. LNs are the perfect ground for this since it is mostly slop, but lots and lots of it. Quantity. Exactly what 2nd language learners need. Quality can come later.

Complaining about it will get you nowhere. Best to just accept that Japanese has a metric fuck ton of largely interchangeable grammatical constructs and read more to find examples that will hopefully stick in your memory.

in english when you have more than one way to say something, there's usually an explanation that helps you choose
>e.g be able to, can, be allowed to
>must vs need vs have to
in japanese there's nothing

I just hate long strings of particles that don't together appear often in a sequence. Particles often have multiple functions, like と is used for quoting and it's also used for inclusion ("and") with something, so when you look at its combination with other particles, you have to cycle through permutations in your head until it makes sense.

Also the endless number of repeating onomatopoeia words (がらがら, びしびし, etc.) and ■っ■り words like こっそり, ぴったり, etc. Especially when they have multiple meanings.

>>714788220
Try Shin Kanzen Master's grammar books. Make a list of similar functions across each book (they teach you similar grammar together in each chapter and have you distinguish between them and test you on them) and REALLY READ the Japanese explanations. Sometimes you may read it over and over and over again and not understand how it differs to the other ones in the chapter. But just keep bruteforcing it and read the fine print and you'll start to pick up on the nuance. Search for real life examples on Twitter to get a feeling for how it's used in everyday conversation while acknowledging that even Japanese people may make mistakes and that some grammar is actually interchangeable. But it'll help you with stuff like
>犬が死んだから、悲しい。
>犬が死んで、悲しい。
>犬が死んだので、悲しい。
That easier books like Minna no Nihongo don't touch on.

>"and"
oh that one's quite a doozy
かつ, および, conjunctive form (and て/で), ならびに, そして, また, それに, 剰え, さらに, なお, なおかつ, and the list goes on
and don't get me started with "on"
Anonymous No.714794576 [Report]
>>714794218
no. the only way to learn is to get one of those grammar handbooks for natives, or a 類義語辞典 and read in jap. the handbook of japanese grammar patterns and the dojg can help, but the stuff mentioned earlier explains it better. now if only those explanations were avialable in english.......
>and don't get me started with "on"
meant "or"

furigana doesn't help that much when you don't know the word anyway, for me at least
luckily I've got a decent feeling for readings of stuff by now
unluckily I still have a long way to go and my reading speed is still that of a first-grader with my hearing comprehension speed being that of a retard

Based and 蒼神縁起pilled. That game is like if someone crammed old-school RPG jank, peak ZUN vibes, and enough obscure kanji to make JLPT N1 cry, all into a glorious doujin hellscape. I still don’t know what half the items do but I keep coming back anyway.
