not the 90s anymore, it's no longer "buy a car for a couple hundred and have fun" it's "[rare] 2003 Ford Taurus ONLY 92000 miles ($7500)"
it's no longer economically viable to have fun irl

Buy a Honda Civic from 1990 and tune it in real life. No one cares about cars anymore. Its all EVs nowadays

And do what? Drive fast on public roads? Cringe. Spend exorbitant amounts of money on race track open days to get smoked by boomers driving supercars? Also cringe. Unless you're extremely wealthy the only way to enjoy going fast in a car is racing games.

There is not a single fucking Honda Civic from that generation --still running-- that isn't more expensive than when it drove off the forecourt of the dealer.

Man, why does GT7 suck so bad? What it is with having no fucking races? I've logged like 10 hours and I still have the same three tracks as the beginning, and the license tests which are an absolute chore and should have absolutely NEVER been brought back. GT5 was a bit rough around the edges, and a lesser experience than 4, but it was still GT and fun. I can't believe I bought this and XVI to start playing PS5.

They're both handsome games, just very anemic. It feels like we're back to the 7th gen, except that the bad performance was exchanged for complete chageovers for the series.
